About Your Appointment
All imaging appointments require a referral from a licensed dental professional.
What to Expect:
- Most imaging sessions take between 10 and 30 minutes.
- No special preparation is needed. Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment.
- For your safety, please inform your radiographer if you are, or might be, pregnant.
- Remove any head and neck jewelry, glasses, or hearing aids before your appointment to ensure the best imaging results.
- During your appointment, you will be asked to sit or stand in a neutral position, with your chin resting on a support. You will need to remain still for 10-20 seconds to capture the best images.
- If you wear dentures or other removable appliances, please bring them with you. You may be asked to remove them before the imaging session.
- If your referring dentist has given you a special plastic stent to wear during the scan, be sure to bring it with you. The scan cannot be performed without it.
